The story of 4 fleets, multiple worlds, confusion and a collision of cultures
Homecoming is the story of the Valen, a species who left their home world 70,000 years ago when it froze over, rescued by an advanced species called the Spoteite. They became an integral part of the Confederation that has grown to encompass 8 species on 15 main worlds and 8 outposts and military research stations.
The Spoteite have been around a long time, and they continually send out probes looking for new species. One probe landed on a planet and collected a sample of an intelligent species, but it was attacked and sustained damage. On returning to Giftack, the Spoteite home world and seat of the Confederation, the species was the centre of a lot of confusion, fear and trauma. Due to injuries, the sample captured died due to unforeseen complications, but it set in motion a chain of events that this story then unravels.
